The Inter-Dimensional Ecumenopolis Armory/Shipyard, or IDEAS, is a mysterious organization that supplies troops and technology. While most mercenary companies will offer services merely to the highest bidder, IDEAS chooses to help those that it deems the "good guys" in a conflict, for minimal costs if the favored force cannot help pay in full. IDEAS itself is situated on a mysterious planet-city (an ecumenopolis) that exists throughout the dimensions. Due to certain sanctions, IDEAS does not give out the most powerful technology available, instead giving technology on a scale to go with that dimension's technology. They were first contacted by the Inversion, and while the other factions did not want hired mercanaries. Their mechanical soldiers and technology loans to the Inversion, however, have made the other factions reconsider.
